What is Lifestyle Medicine? Lifestyle Medicine is a branch of medicine that focuses on using healthy lifestyle changes as the main way to help prevent and treat long-term health problems like heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and obesity. It uses six key areas: eating mostly whole, plant-based foods; being physically active; getting enough restful sleep; managing stress; avoiding harmful substances; and building positive relationships. By focusing on these areas, lifestyle medicine helps people stay healthy and manage chronic diseases.
